The Transport Project extends President’s contract through 2029

Path set for continued organizational growth and expanded advocacy impact post-election.

November 10, 2024. With approval from The Transport Project Board of Directors, TTP’s Executive Committee announces the extension of President Dan Gage’s contract for another five years through September 30, 2029. Gage joined the association – previously named NGVAmerica – in September 2017; his original contract was extended another four years in 2021.

“Dan’s leadership has helped energize the alternative fuel transportation industry and transformed The Transport Project into the leading voice advancing the growth, deployment, and use of renewable natural gas (RNG) and hydrogen as ultra clean motor fuels,” said TTP Board Chair Marty Tufte, corporate fleet director for WM. “TTP’s officers and Board of Directors wanted to continue our progress without pause, so it was important for us to lock in Dan’s future stewardship before his current contract expired.”

Earlier this year, the organization transitioned into The Transport Project, a collective of close to 200 organizations and companies involved in the efficient movement of goods, services, and people. This January, TTP will begin executing an aggressive five-year growth and advocacy plan soon to be approved by the Board at its Annual Meeting.
