October 26, 2023. Certified by COFREND, the VTE Group and its subsidiary, VTE Inspections, went to the Irizar France facilities, in Nazelles-Négron (Indre-et-Loire), to carry out detailed inspection checks (CID) on the brand’s compressed natural gas (CNG) coaches before they enter circulation.
“This control, carried out before delivery to the end customer, guarantees that the vehicle complies with safety regulations,” summarizes the company. Although it is still optional (but recommended) when entering circulation, the CID inspection is mandatory every 4 years and affects all heavy vehicles that run on natural gas. It consists of ensuring that the CNG circuit, from the tanks to the regulator, works optimally. As part of the agreement signed with Irizar, more than 15 coaches have already been inspected.
