August 27, 2023. The capital city of the province of Neuquén, Argentina, has presented two new Scania-brand compressed natural gas (CNG) buses that will be incorporated into the local public transport system.

These are two low units that are characterized by running on CNG, which allows the city to support the environment, take care of climate change and reduce emissions and 50% of noise, compared to those that use other fuels.

The vehicles were presented by the Mayor of Neuquén, Mariano Gaido, who stressed that “we bet on the environment, sound, CNG, to permanently modernize a fleet.”

Likewise, the official observed that “we are proud to have a public transportation service that has increased by 50% since February 1 when it began operating. There are 740 kilometers a day that the buses make in their 30 routes. That is no coincidence, it is that the residents bet again and again on a system that works, which gives the opportunity to 40,000 students to carry out their studies in daily traffic, which gives them the opportunity to grow, develop and have hope”.
