New liquefied biogas station for heavy vehicles in Ylivieska

The station serves heavy traffic exclusively and is centrally located at the address Ouluntie 25.

February 10, 2026. Gasum has opened a new liquefied biogas (LBG) filling station in Ylivieska, in the Ostrobothnia region of Finland. The station serves heavy traffic exclusively and is centrally located at the address Ouluntie 25, at the intersection of several important transport routes.

“The location of the Ylivieska station was chosen based on the needs of the logistics sector, as it is located along several major national transport routes. In addition, there are various freight hubs in the region, such as the terminal of major logistics operator DSV. Gasum has expanded its biogas filling station network in recent years with the idea that the locations of the stations should serve freight traffic on all main routes in the best way possible,” says Juho Kurra, Head of Business, Traffic Finland, Gasum.

“Gasum’s new filling station in Ylivieska is important for DSV, as next to it we have a terminal, where we will base a new biogas vehicle during the spring. DSV currently has a total of 26 vehicles in Finland that run on liquefied biogas and three vehicles that run on compressed biogas. The expansion of the LBG distribution network increases the possibilities for emission reductions in the transport sector,” says Petteri Nurmi, CEO of DSV Road Oy,DSV’s Finnish road transport company.
