Seara and Iveco promote low-emission urban heavy duty transport in Brazil

This collaboration strengthens innovation, decarbonization, and the circular economy, with the potential to reduce emissions by up to 95%.

March 2, 2026. JBS, through its Seara brand, and Iveco announced the start of a strategic alliance focused on promoting low-emission urban freight transport solutions in Brazil. The collaboration is based on the Daily Multifuel, an urban concept truck developed by the automaker, which can achieve up to a 95% reduction in CO2 emissions (well-to-wheel), depending on the fuel used.

Presented by Iveco at the end of 2025 during the Future in Motion event, the Daily Multifuel can run on natural gas, biomethane, and ethanol. The vehicle combines energy flexibility, operational robustness, and a significant reduction in emissions. Operating a single multi-fuel truck powered by biomethane is equivalent, in terms of emissions, to taking almost 10 diesel trucks off the streets of a city like São Paulo.

To mark the beginning of the strategic alliance, in response to the decarbonization challenges of large urban centers, the brands developed a demonstration truck with the phrase “Powered by Biomethane and Ethanol: Up to 95% fewer pollutants” printed on its refrigerated cargo box. This initiative positions the vehicle as a traveling showcase of Seara’s pioneering spirit, while the decals confirm it as the country’s first multi-fuel urban concept.
