March 23, 2026. Arriva Veneto has received five new Menarini buses powered by methane, acquired thanks to an investment of approximately €1.5 million, financed by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and the Chioggia City Council, within the framework of Italy’s National Strategic Plan for Sustainable Mobility.
The Italian manufacturer’s compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles are the 10-meter Citymood model.
The Mayor of Chioggia, Mauro Armelao, and Cristina Boscolo Zemelo, Councilor for Mobility and Transport, were present at the launch of the new eco-friendly buses.
“The arrival of these five new buses,” declared the Mayor, “represents a concrete step towards a more modern and efficient public transport system for our city. Chioggia is investing heavily in sustainable mobility, improving service for residents and visitors while simultaneously reducing its environmental impact. Thanks to the collaboration with the Veneto Region and Arriva Veneto, we are able to renew the urban fleet with more comfortable, safer, and less polluting vehicles. This is a significant investment that demonstrates the Administration’s commitment to increasingly integrating public transport into the daily lives of our community.”
