February 11, 2022. Karsan continues to ease the urban transportation of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality with its Menarinibus Citymood CNG fueled green buses. The company has awarded the tender for the purchase of new vehicles, opened by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality with the contributions of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, in order to use more environmentally friendly buses in harmony with the historical texture and architecture of the city. With this last tender of 21,9 million Euros, Karsan delivered a total of 118 Menarinibus Citymood CNG buses, 84 of which are 12 meters and 34 are 18 meters, to be delivered to the Municipality of Mersin in 2022.
After delivering 87 CNG-powered buses to Mersin Municipality in 2021, Karsan will offer Mersin residents a total of 205 CNG-powered Menarinibus Citymood buses, with deliveries expected to be completed in 2022. Along with 67 8-meter Karsan Atak buses to be delivered to Mersin Metropolitan Municipality in 2022, the total number of Karsan vehicles deployed in Mersin will rise to 272, and these vehicles will enable Mersin residents to travel conveniently and safe to travel the city.
