November 29, 2022. Certas Energy France and ENGIE Solutions, through GNVERT, announce the start-up of their first two natural gas vehicles (NGV) filling stations in motorway rest areas.
Certas Energy France, an operator of ESSO brand outlets, relied on ENGIE Solutions to expand its fuel offer by integrating natural gas. Drawing on their experience in the deployment of sustainable mobility solutions, ENGIE Solutions teams designed, built and operated two NGV refueling stations in La Palme, located on the A9 motorway, and the Manoire rest area, on the A89 motorway.
For more than 20 years, everything possible has been done to develop high-performance public CNG facilities, accessible 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, with an optimal fill time and configured to meet the limitations of heavy mobility.
The two new infrastructures will complete the ENGIE network of 60 public natural gas stations already in service in France.
Both facilities offer NGV in two forms: liquefied natural gas (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG). LNG offers its users a range of up to 1,500 km and the station allows a filling speed equal to that of refueling with diesel.
Located in the La Palme service area on the A9 motorway, the main communication route between France and Spain, the facility is sized to specifically meet the needs of road freight transport through the motorway network.
The Manoire area station, located on the A89, has the advantage of being accessible from the outside, facilitating 7/7 and 24/24 refueling for all types of vehicles, light and heavy, and all logistics operators in the territory.
