September 26, 2024. Last November, the Métropole de Lyon and ENGIE Solutions announced the selection of GNVERT and ENGIE Vianeo, ENGIE’s brands dedicated to sustainable mobility, to lead the construction and operation of a multi-energy station in the Dardilly area along the M6 motorway.
This September 26, 2024, Jean-Charles Kohlhaas, Fabien Bagnon, Vice Presidents of the Lyon metropolis, Didier Liautaud, General Director of ENGIE Vianeo France and Jean-Charles Bourlier, General Director of GNVERT, formalized the start of works. The launch of this electric and Bio-CNG refueling station is planned for early 2025.
Lyon aims to diversify its energy mix and act to promote the decarbonization of the road passenger and freight transport sector. The multi-energy station is part of the progressive deployment of a network combining Bio-CNG and electric charging throughout the metropolitan area.
Crucial to initiate decarbonization options in the freight transport sector, the facility also becomes an important link in the network supported at the national level by ENGIE Vianeo and APRR, leader in 100% electric charging dedicated to heavy vehicles.
