The Swiss transport provider, Krummen Kerzers, is set to add 20 new Volvo heavy goods vehicles (HGV) powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) to its fleet. The company, which recently signed the purchase order, is thus continuing to implement its strategy for sustainably reducing CO2 emissions.
Krummen Kerzers will deploy the new HGVs in the “LNG – bridge to the future” project that it launched last summer together with Lidl Switzerland. The two partners’ goal is to develop a LNG fuelling station network in Switzerland.
Two LNG refueling pumps are due to go into service in spring 2019.
