October 21, 2022. Carrefour and ENGIE Solutions have collaborated to install a Bio-CNG station in the French commune of Laronxe in order to act in favor of decarbonization by offering solutions for sustainable mobility.
Clément Stivert, Carrefour’s Regional Logistics Director, and Laurent Chéroux, GNVERT’s Commercial Director, inaugurated the new facility on October 21 in the presence of Hervé Bertrand, Mayor of Laronxe.
The installation was born from the desire of the Carrefour group to green its supply chain. To enable all of its carriers to convert to Bio-CNG, the firm launched a tender in 2015 to increase the number of filling stations in France.
There are a total of 8 station in which Carrefour has chosen to rely on the know-how of more than 20 years of GNVERT, ENGIE Solutions’ sustainable gas-powered mobility offer.
The objective of this new location is to ensure the supply of fuel to vehicles in the sector, in particular for Carrefour’s logistics activities in the Grand-Est region. The station will supply the company’s green fleet and facilitate the refueling of the units that serve its Actipôle de Mondon logistics center in Moncel-Lès-Lunéville.
