March 26, 2021. The truck market in Argentina continues to grow throughout the country and Iveco contributes to the development of the sector through commitment to its customers. Such is the case of Eurotrucks, a company that added three new Stralis Hi-Road compressed natural gas (CNG) units to its fleet.

Eurotrucks, which is part of the Euroamérica group, has more than 100 brand trucks and offers comprehensive solutions for international trade. Its main objective is to become facilitators of the development of international trade integrating the logistics chain with efficiency, responsibility and transparency.

Like so many other trucking companies, Eurotrucks is a family firm that began with small-scale jobs and today has a long history in the field. “We continue to trust Iveco. We go through all the ranges of the brand and now we bet on CNG trucks. For us it is very important to increase and renew our fleet. We know that with the new gas vehicles we not only take care of the environment, but also we reduce our logistics costs, as it is the most economical and profitable option for our business,” argued Daniel Swier, Vice President of Euroamerica.

The new Stralis Hi-Road CNG acquired by the Argentine company have the highest technology, design and equipment superior to its diesel pair, with a fuel saving benefit of between 40% and 50%. The trucks have an AT440S33T/P configuration Cursor 8 distribution version and, because they are powered by CNG, their gas emissions present extraordinary reductions of 10% in carbon dioxide emissions that can reach 95% if biomethane is used as fuel; it also offers up to 90% nitrogen dioxide reduction. These trucks have a hydraulic retarder, ESP and air suspension on the rear axle.
