May 25, 2025. The President of the National Association of Public Environmental Companies (ANEPMA), Jesús Diz, and the General Secretary of Gasnam, Eugenia Sillero, signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting the production and use of renewable gases in public waste collection and street cleaning services.
This agreement establishes a framework for developing joint initiatives, exchanging technical knowledge, and exploring opportunities for technological innovation in sustainable mobility and waste recovery. Both organizations will work together to facilitate the participation of their members in pilot projects, training activities, and technical workshops, as well as to strengthen their engagement with public administrations and agencies.
Within the framework of this agreement, Gasnam and ANEPMA will collaborate for the first time in organizing the workshop “Biomethane Opportunities for Public Environmental Companies,” which will be held on June 26 at the Green Gas Mobility Summit, the leading Iberian forum on renewable gases and sustainable transport. This practical session, aimed at ANEPMA members and collaborators, will address technologies for the recovery of organic waste, biomethane traceability through certification and guarantees of origin, and will showcase real-life success stories of its application in municipal fleets.
