Gasnam-Neutral Transport renews its Board of Directors to lead the transition to cleaner and more efficient transport

Silvia Sanjoaquín, a representative of Naturgy, is re-elected as President of the Iberian technology platform.

April 14, 2025. The Gasnam-Neutral Transport technology platform takes a firm step in its commitment to the decarbonization of transport by renewing its Board of Directors and strengthening its commitment to renewable gases as a key driver for transforming the land and maritime transport sectors, especially those that are difficult to electrify. With a clear vision for the future, the association promotes the use of biomethane, renewable hydrogen, and synthetic fuels as key drivers of this transition.

Following an internal voting process, Silvia Sanjoaquín (Naturgy) has been re-elected President for another four years, once again enjoying the unanimous support of its members. Sanjoaquín will be accompanied by a well-established team as Vice President: Claudio Rodríguez (Enagás) in the Energy division; Álvaro Arroyo (Iveco) in the Land division; and José Poblet (Cotenaval) in the Maritime division.

The recently re-elected President thanked the members for their trust and emphasized the importance of having a Board of Directors that reflects the diversity and cross-cutting nature of the sector: “We bring together large and small companies, as well as technology centers, which allows us to combine complementary knowledge and visions to accelerate the decarbonization of transport.”

Looking to the future, the President called for seizing the moment: “The Iberian Peninsula has enormous potential to lead the transformation of heavy transport thanks to its production capacity and the use of renewable gases such as biomethane and renewable hydrogen.”

The new Board was ratified at the General Assembly held in Lisbon, which brought together more than 100 members and included the participation of the Portuguese Secretary of State for Energy, Jean Barroca, and the attendance of Galp’s co-CEO, João Diogo Marques da Silva.
