September 19, 2022. The vehicle, from the operator HIFE, will serve the exprés.cat e3 line and the regular L1011 line, which connect Montsià and Baix Ebre, in Catalonia, Spain. It is an Iveco Bus Crossway model bus. It is about 13 meters long and has 63 seats for passengers. The tank has a capacity for 1,260 liters of natural gas.
The biogas will be generated from agricultural, livestock and industrial waste in the area at the Biometagas La Galera plant, in Montsià.
This is the first biogas bus launched by the Generalitat and the first to circulate in Terres de l’Ebre. The Ministry of Digital Policies and Territory, in this way, continues its commitment to connectivity and the decarbonisation of the territory, promoting sustainability, circular economy and the fight against climate change.
