December 18, 2022. The President of Iveco in Latin America, Márcio Querichelli, and the President of Iveco Group in Argentina, Santos Doncel Jones, presented the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, and the Secretary of Industry and Productive Development, José Ignacio de Mendiguren, his investment plan to develop heavy trucks and buses running on compressed natural gas (CNG) in the country, boost exports and increase the national component in its production.
In this sense, the businessmen ratified their confidence in Argentina and announced that they decided to invest in the production of CNG vehicles, promoting sustainability by reducing the emission of gases, particulate matter and noise. Likewise, they assured that in the country there are conditions to promote the exports of these units.
“This announcement is another example of the confidence in the development of the country on the part of top international companies such as Iveco, and confirms the opportunities we have to accompany investments with cutting-edge technologies that promote the transition towards more efficient and environmentally friendly energy sources”, said Minister Massa.
The automotive terminal recently announced its new investment plan of USD 200 million to boost the growth of the brand in Latin America, from which it will develop new products, such as the Euro VI line for the entire region, and the renewal of the CNG Tector in Argentina, to continue increasing the supply of products in the field of alternative fuels.
