May 8, 2024. Iveco leads the way of change in the context of the Giro d’Italia with two Daily and one S-Way LNG powered by biomethane supplied for the sporting event that has always animated the country. During the 21 stages of the competition, which began on May 4 in Venaria Reale (Turin) and will arrive on May 26 in Rome, the company accompanies the best cyclists in the world with passion and team spirit.

On each day of competition, the S-Way LNG model powered by biomethane supplied by Vulcangas is present leading the Caravan, the popular parade of decorated vehicles that precedes the competitors to create a festive atmosphere characterized by music and entertainment.

In fact, also this year the S-Way LNG, adapted to sport a pink decoration in honor of the Giro d’Italia, runs on biomethane and the different supplies will follow the stages of the Giro d’Italia throughout the national territory. Specifically, thanks to the collaboration with Vulcangas, the vehicle will refuel at the main service stations along the route: Turin, Porcari, San Vitaliano, Falconara, Rimini and Saonara. With a range of 1,600 km and an engine that guarantees excellent torque even on the narrowest roads and on difficult-to-access secondary roads, the S-Way proves once again to be the most suitable vehicle for long-distance transport that guarantees the maximum performance for the environment and for people.

The S-Way LNG powered by biomethane will complete the entire Giro d’Italia route, equivalent to approximately 7,000 km in total, with a net CO2 emissions quota close to zero, thanks to refueling with nationally produced biomethane, a technology that contributes to decarbonize the territory, create new jobs and valorize waste.
