MRZ Holding receives two LNG trucks for multimodal transport

The vehicles, model AS440S46T/P 2LNG, are equipped with two LNG tanks of 540 liters each for a range of up to 1,600 km.

January 10, 2023. Iveco delivers two S-Way trucks powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) to MRZ Holding, a company that deals with the multimodal transport of chemicals and liquid waste in bulk, compressed and cryogenic liquid gases, dry chemicals, various merchandise and logistics.

The vehicles, model AS440S46T/P 2LNG, are equipped with two LNG tanks of 540 liters each for a range of up to 1,600 km, ADR, Iveco Hi-Cruise (predictive GPS), DSE (Driver Style Evaluation) and DAS (Driver Attention Support).

The model significantly reduces CO2 emissions, thereby improving fuel efficiency. In addition, it is designed to be powered by biomethane, a resource that allows a circular economy process to be achieved and that makes the S-Way a champion of sustainability for the benefit of the environment and long-distance transport.

Alberto Marenzana, President of MRZ Holding, said: “On our roadmap towards carbon neutrality, we want to diversify our offer of green fuel vehicles and the Iveco brand has consolidated experience in LNG engines. In particular, these trucks will be dedicated to the transport of LNG in bulk from the terminals in the south of France to the service stations in Italy”.
