NGV filling infrastructure expands in France’s Britanny region

September 9, 2020. Bretagne Mobilité GNV (BMGNV) continues to expand the natural gas filling infrastructure in France’s Brittany region with the opening of a new NGV/bioNGV filling station in Saint-Gérand, Morbihan province. The Saint-Gérand location is the second facility of a planned network of 20 NGV filling stations to be run by BMGNV across Brittany.

The Saint-Gérand station was built in partnership with Intermarché group, Pontivy Communauté and the municipality of Saint-Gérand. The gas will be supplied by REDEO company, based in Pontivy.

The new NGV/bioNGV filling station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is accessible to all types of vehicles – heavy goods vehicles, vans, buses, and light vehicles. The facility features 3 simultaneous VL/PL filling lanes, and it has been designed to fill up the equivalent of 9 heavy goods vehicles per hour. Access to the station is possible by subscription, and by credit card payment.

Bretagne Mobilité GNV will continue strengthening the regional NGV and bioNGV distribution network in the coming months. Following the openings of Vannes in February 2018 and Saint-Gérand this month, other stations will be rolled out beginning in September in Caudan, Saint-Evarzec, Saint-Martin-des-Champs, Guipavas and Landivisiau.
