February 3, 2025. The Annual Assembly of NGV Italy, which met on January 31, 2025 in Milan, unanimously confirmed President Mariarosa Baroni and approved the introduction of the figure of Executive Vice President Nicola Riccio, supported by Vice President Andrea Stegher, for the three-year period 2025-2027.
Baroni’s reconfirmation represents a clear sign of continuity and strengthening of the strategic action of the Association, which in recent years has consolidated its role to become one of the most prestigious organizations in the sector, both nationally and internationally. NGV Italy has played a key role in 2024, promoting the debate on technological neutrality and contributing to important institutional roundtables for the energy transition of mobility, strengthening its commitment to the valorization of biomethane, biofuels and hydrogen as concrete solutions for the decarbonization of transport.
The extension of governance, with the introduction of two Vice-Presidencies, responds to the need to address the new challenges of the activity with a more orderly and incisive structure.
In the case of Nicola Riccio, appointed Executive Vice-President, he brings extensive experience and knowledge in the sector, qualities that will guarantee pragmatic and effective action in the strategic activities of NGV Italy.
For his part, Andrea Stegher, who will soon assume the Presidency of the International Gas Union (IGU), will continue to support the Association with his strategic contribution, maintaining a strong link with NGV Italy and strengthening its role as a reference within the sector.
With this new configuration, NGV Italy looks to the future with renewed determination, ready to continue its commitment to an ecological, non-ideological transition, promoting a sustainable and technologically neutral energy model.
