August 13, 2021. The Scania concessionaire in the Brazilian municipality of Lajeado, Brasdiesel, delivered the first two trucks powered by natural gas for vehicles (NGV) to the company Paradiso Giovanella Transportes Ltda. The R 410 4×2 models acquired by the transport company in the city of Estrela – Rio Grande do Sul, will join the fleet of 680 vehicles.
The keys were handed over by Brasdiesel’s Sales Manager Fábio Júnior, its Service Manager Diginaro Rohr, and its General Manager Marcos Radaelli, to Paradiso’s owner, Jeancarlo Giovanella, accompanied by his sons Enzo and Bianca.
The R 410 CNG trucks are designed for applications on medium and long-distance roads. Because they are designed to run exclusively on natural gas, they are factory warranted and have reliable technology, with consistent performance and power similar to diesel vehicles.
In addition to reducing fuel costs, another great advantage of gas-powered units is reduced noise. According to Scania, these models are up to 20% quieter than a similar diesel.
