June 28, 2019. The truck segment in Colombia has new members thanks to Scania’s latest launch. With new generation models, the Swedish company brings to the market this new family that was presented at a special event with included test drives. In total, options of 7, 9, 13 and up to 16 liters are offered to the Colombian public.
These trucks arrive at different levels with versions that work from different fuels such as biogas, biodiesel or natural gas, in addition to conventional variants. According to the manufacturer, they enjoy a 12% reduction in consumption. Additionally, the range of options covers P, G and R cabins or the new S.
Among other details, Scania offers the XT package with elements for off-road operation. Speaking of the improvements in design, these new heavy vehicles enjoy a redesign in their cabins, an action taken in favor of comfort and interior space. For example, the roof is now 10 cm higher with which it reaches 2.07 m.
The Scandinavian brand, owned by the Volkswagen Group, now also offers in the country the S cabin with flat floor that stands out for its comfort and ergonomics. Equally, another of the important novelties is in its aerodynamic improvements.
