January 18, 2020. By January 2021, petrol and diesel autos in Patna, Danapur, Phulwarisharif, Khagaul, and Danapur will be completely phased out and all the roads of Patna will have CNG-fueled auto-rickshaws plying on it bringing the pollution level down by at least 13%. To attain this goal, CNG filling stations are being set across the city, Bihar Auto Union Secretary Navin Mishra said.
Ahead of January 2021, at least 15 new CNG filling stations will be opened in the district with the stations at Saguna Mor and Naubatpur poised to start operating from February 20 this year, Mishra said adding this will bring the total number of CNG filling stations in Patna to five.
Later, by May this year, three more stations will begin operating in Phulwari, Khagaul, and Digha and survey for new stations in Kadam Kuan, Gandhi Maidan, Ashok Rajpath, Rajendra Nagar, New and Old Bypass Road, Dak Bungalow Road and Patna City are being carried out, he said.
