April 25, 2019. Piccini Paolo Spa, a historic company that operates in the gas sector, has created a car that will participate in the “Green Endurance 2019” competition, an Italian alternative energy championship promoted by Aci-Sport. In the year that sees the possibility that the CNG vehicles return to participate in this competition, since in the last two seasons the championship was reserved only for electric vehicles, Piccini Paolo Spa will launch a Seat Leon with biomethane.
Piccini Paolo Spa and Scuderia Etruria have entered the first race, the Ecogreen Rally of Como, which will take place next weekend on the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in Europe. Back in the lead, Guido Guerrini, who in this championship has risen eight times to the podium, winning two Italian titles. Along with Guerrini, Francesca Olivoni, also stood out repeatedly in this sport.
“Our company has invested convincingly in this experience,” says Marco Piccini: “In addition to promoting the participation of one of our cars, we will take care of the supplies of biomethane in the places where the races will take place. All this thanks to the synergies implemented with the company of Sesa, an Este biomethane production company, and with the collaboration of Snam4mobility, which has provided us with the necessary know-how for the mobile replenishment of fuel”.
