Primax inaugurates the first LNG station in northern Peru

July 26, 2024. Primax, a multi-Latin company in the energy sector, inaugurated the new Gascop service station in Chiclayo, marking a crucial technological and innovation milestone by becoming the first in the north of the country to offer liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the public.

This technological advance represents an innovation in the fuel market, since the sale of LNG requires specialized equipment to cryogenize natural gas and transform it from a dry state to a liquid state, and thus transport it in tankers designed for this specific technology. Thus, the new facility becomes the first station in northern Peru to offer LNG for heavy vehicles, providing high-quality fuel with lower polluting emissions.

This significant achievement is the result of the effort and dedication of inter-company collaborative work. Likewise, the integration of all internal and external systems was a fundamental factor for liquefied natural gas vehicles (L-NGV) to be sold to the public in an efficient and standardized manner at a national level.

“At Primax we assume the responsibility of serving our operations with highly qualified personnel, guaranteeing safety, efficiency and sustainability for all our L-NGV clients. In this way, we reaffirm our commitment to innovation and sustainable development, offering efficient and safe energy solutions for transporters throughout the country,” emphasizes Hugo Calderón, Direct Operation Manager at Primax.
