December 5, 2024. ReFuels N.V., one of Europe’s leading suppliers of renewable biomethane (Bio-CNG) for the decarbonization of heavy goods vehicles, published Bio-CNG station data for November 2024.
A record 5,118 tonnes of Bio-CNG were dispensed from 14 public access refueling stations in operation during November 2024, an increase of 18% from 4,334 tonnes in November 2023 (13 stations).
The average daily dispensed volume was 171 tonnes in November 2024 compared to 144 tonnes dispensed per day in November 2023.
For the three months ending November 30, 2024, the total dispensed volume was 14,520 tonnes, an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2023
In October, a daily average of 1,925 vehicles refuelled at ReFuels’ Bio-CNG stations, compared to 1,600 vehicles for the same period last year, corresponding to a 20% growth
Prices for Renewable Transport Fuel Certificates (RTFCs) averaged 24.8 pence in November 2024, up 62% compared to November 2023
“We are proud to have crossed an important milestone in November, by dispensing more than 5,000 tonnes of sustainable and renewable Bio-CNG to our customers. November was one of the best months in terms of truck deliveries since ReFuels was established ten years ago with almost 100 new CNG-powered heavy goods vehicles hitting UK roads. Some of the trucks that have been delivered in the last two months have gone straight into fairly high utilization work as part of the run-up to the November and December shopping periods, thereby driving record-high dispensed volumes of low-carbon Bio-CNG across our country-wide refueling network,” said Philip Fjeld, CEO ReFuels.
