July 13, 2022. Trained to become engineers by the French ESME Sudria school, Camille Coll, 23, and Antoine Meltz, 26, are eager to take part in a humanitarian adventure while moderating their environmental footprint. That is why they decided to convert a Renault 4 to natural gas.
Sedans, vans with or without windows, with aluminum rims, left in their original color or repainted in a striking way and why not Gordini: each R4 that participates in the 4L Trophy is unique and most of the time receives the affection of its young owners.
“We found our 4L on the internet about a year ago. It is a 1992 Savane model, white, with a total of 135,000 km. It is in good general condition. We will be preparing it little by little for the 4L Trophy”, comments Antoine Meltz. “With the intention of becoming a renewable energy engineer, I also wanted to show that you can use an old car on a daily basis and pollute less than a recent model. This promotes reuse”, continues Camille Coll.
“Participating in the 4L Trophy means taking on three challenges: a humanitarian and human challenge, a sporting one and an ecological and eco-citizen challenge”, they highlight in their participation form.
