Seville Urban Transport adds 3 new CNG buses

Transportes Urbanos de Sevilla has added to its fleet 3 new MAN brand hybrid articulated buses, model Lion's City 19C CNG Efficient Hybrid.

October 16, 2023. Significant improvements are being carried out on the Special Airport Line (EA) with the aim of strengthening it as a reference means of transportation to connect the airport and the city of Seville, Spain.

In this sense, Transportes Urbanos de Sevilla (TUSSAM) has added to its fleet 3 new MAN brand hybrid articulated buses, model Lion’s City 19C CNG Efficient Hybrid. These vehicles have a length of 18.75 meters, an integral low floor, three access and exit points, and offer a capacity of 38 seated seats, 2 spaces for wheelchairs near the second door, and 100 standing seats. This addition entails an increase of 2,500 additional places per day, which represents an increase of 20% in the current offer.

The Special Airport line connects Seville airport with the most tourist areas and the largest number of accommodations in the city, in addition to the main interconnection points. It offers a direct connection with Santa Justa in both directions, operating as a shuttle service with a travel time of only 12 minutes. It also connects with the San Bernardo stop, the Prado de San Sebastián and the Plaza de Armas bus station.

The line operates from 4:30 in the morning until 1:00 in the morning, covering all scheduled flights arriving or departing from the airport facilities. With 155 daily departures and a frequency of up to 12 minutes during periods of greatest demand, it offers a total of 18,600 seats for passengers.
