TCAC receives its first four high-capacity Iveco S-Way CNG tractors

These units were assigned to transport containers from the Port of Le Havre and are part of a total order for eight trucks.

September 4, 2025. Transport Conteneur & Affrètement Conventionnel (TCAC), a company with a long history in port transport based in Le Havre, France, has just received its first four Iveco S-Way compressed natural gas (CNG) tractors, equipped with high-capacity 1,240-liter tanks, giving them a range of up to 800 km on the road with a payload of 19 tons (representing the VECTO cycle). These units were assigned to transport containers from the Port of Le Havre and are part of a total order for eight trucks.

These first Bio-CNG-powered vehicles mark a significant turning point in the company’s strategy to reduce the carbon footprint of its operations, responding both to the desire of its CEO, Cyril Zouin, and to the demand from some of its customers for more sustainable transport solutions. “We are proud to take a new step in our energy transition thanks to our collaboration with Iveco. These first Bio-CNG vehicles complement our fleet, which is already primarily composed of S-Way units, and meet the environmental requirements our company has set for itself, while ensuring reliability and operational performance. Their extensive range will allow us to operate efficiently from Le Havre and control our emissions,” said Cyril Zouin, CEO of TCAC.

The Port of Le Havre, France’s main container port, represents a strategic location for heavy-duty transport, for which reducing CO2 emissions is a major challenge. Iveco S-Way CNG tractor units perfectly meet these challenges, with a reduction in CO2 emissions of up to 80% (according to a life-cycle analysis) when running on Bio-CNG.
