July 8, 2025. KAMAZ is taking part in the 15th INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition, which is taking place from July 7 to July 10 in Yekaterinburg. The latest generation of K5 natural gas-powered vehicles is presented at the company’s stand.
The company’s exposition shows a tractor truck from the latest generation K5 line KAMAZ-54901 (4×2), powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). The machine meets the requirements of ADR, which makes it possible to transport dangerous goods. This is a gas-powered version of the well-known flagship of the K5 generation, which has gained the trust of consumers in a short time.
In this modification, the truck with the -54901 index is equipped with a KAMAZ R6 (Euro-5) gas engine with a capacity of 460 hp, an automated gearbox and two tanks holding 1,060 liters of liquefied natural gas. The use of LNG significantly reduces the owner’s fuel costs with a one-filling fuel capacity of up to 1,600 km, which makes this modification of the truck one of the most efficient for business. Production of the gas-powered version of the fifth-generation KAMAZ-54901 truck started in September 2024.
It is worth noting that today the K5 generation vehicles are produced on a new sanctions-resistant component base. These are trucks that set new standards for efficiency, comfort and reliability, and their production does not depend on the supply of components from unfriendly countries.
