December 9, 2025. Transporte Peduzzi, a company with over 30 years of experience in logistics for the oil industry and headquartered in Plaza Huincul, Neuquén Province, Argentina, announced the addition of Scania trucks powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) to its fleet, solidifying its commitment to technological modernization and the transition to cleaner energy in industrial transport.
The decision to incorporate CNG units stems from a long-term strategy based on innovation, competitiveness, and sustainability. Peduzzi is currently conducting comparative performance tests between gas and diesel trucks, focusing on fuel consumption, range, and carbon footprint. Preliminary tests estimate that the new units can achieve between 600 and 800 kilometers per CNG fill-up, depending on the type of route and weight transported.
One of the main operational challenges is related to the CNG refueling infrastructure in the region. The company is working in coordination with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and concessionaires to define optimal routes that ensure fuel availability, especially in high-activity areas like Loma Campana.
“This addition represents a clear commitment to innovation. We want to be competitive, but also responsible. We evaluate new technologies to reduce emissions and optimize costs, differentiating ourselves through efficiency, data, and continuous improvement in fleet management,” says Juan Cruz López, President of Transporte Peduzzi.
Looking to the future, the company plans to continue expanding its fleet with more CNG-powered units and even explore electric alternatives when the national infrastructure allows. Peduzzi’s vision is to support the growth of Vaca Muerta with an increasingly safe, intelligent, and sustainable operating standard.
