TUSSAM adds 17 new CNG-hybrid articulated buses

These additions will facilitate the commissioning of the Seville East-Alcosa-Macarena Hospital line.

October 30, 2025. Spanish Transportes Urbanos de Sevilla Sociedad Anónima Municipal (TUSSAM) has added 17 new articulated buses to its fleet. These MAN Lion’s City 19G models meet Euro VI E emissions standards, the most stringent environmental regulations in the European Union. The total investment is €7,752,000, plus VAT.

These 17 new vehicles are 18.73 meters long and feature a continuous low floor from the first to the last row of seats, ensuring high comfort and a fast passenger flow. They have three doors for easy access and/or alighting, all without steps.

All units are equipped with an access ramp for people with reduced mobility (PRM). Thus, the floor-to-floor height is only 320mm; they are also equipped with Kneeling, a lateral alignment system that allows the bus to tilt to the right, further facilitating entry and exit for people with reduced mobility.

The units have a capacity for 40 seated passengers and up to 135 standing passengers, with two spaces for wheelchairs and/or strollers in front of the second door. They have a 45kW heating and cooling system for passengers and another for the driver’s area. They are also equipped with tempered and tinted glass windows and doors for greater efficiency and comfort in high temperatures.

These acquisitions are part of the company’s commitment to fleet renewal and reducing polluting emissions, which translates into the acquisition of only electric or hybrid electric-CNG vehicles. Along these lines, the acquisition of up to 63 new vehicles, ranging from 12 meters to articulated buses, is planned for next year.
