Sepur and Tri-Action bet on Bio-NGV trucks in Val d’Oise

May 11, 2023. Leading waste management operator in Ile-de-France, the Sepur group continues to expand its fleet of domestic waste collection vehicles that run on biogas. Ensuring waste collection since 2015 on behalf of the Tri-Action union, which covers nine cities in Val d’Oise, has just renewed its entire fleet with trucks that run on Bio-NGV. A total of 22 units were purchased, representing a total investment of 4 million euros financed by Sepur within the framework of the Tri-Action public market.

These trucks are fed with Bio-NGV at the Bessancourt waste collection center, where a filling station has been installed especially for the fleet. This is an additional investment of 1.3 million euros co-financed by Sepur and Engie, which signed a framework agreement in November 2021 for the creation, operation and supply of all the new CNG facilities that Sepur offers to the local authorities.

“With this new facility in Bessancourt, Sepur opens its sixth Bio-NGV refueling station, in partnership with Engie. We are very proud to support local authorities in their energy transition and we especially thank Tri-Action administrators for their confidence in this new stage”, said Youri Ivanov, President of Sepur.

The renewal of the Tri-Action fleet is part of Sepur’s ambitious policy regarding the reduction of greenhouse gases. The group has thus set itself the goal of achieving zero diesel by 2025 and zero carbon by 2030 for containers and light vehicles. To do this, it systematically offers a “Green” offer when responding to tenders launched by local authorities.
