Gasnam signs agreement with the Universidad Pontificia Comillas for training in renewable fuels

This agreement reinforces the commitment of both entities to sustainability and opens the door to new training initiatives in key areas for the energy future.

October 11, 2024. The Vice-Rector for Academic Strategy, Innovation and Internationalization of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Paloma Bilbao, and the General Secretary of Gasnam-Neutral Transport, Eugenia Sillero, have signed an agreement to develop training programs aimed at supporting the energy transition and decarbonization in Spain. This agreement reinforces the commitment of both entities to sustainability and opens the door to new training initiatives in key areas for the energy future.

As the first fruit of this collaboration, the “Program focused on new renewable and low-carbon fuels: regulation, technologies and use cases” has been launched, a course designed for professionals in the energy, industrial and transport sectors. The program, which will be taught next November, addresses the regulatory challenges regarding sustainable fuels and shows practical examples that show their impact on road, sea and air transport.

The signing of the agreement marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration with the aim of developing new training offerings focused on the technological and regulatory challenges of the transition towards cleaner energy sources. Gasnam-Neutral Transport will provide its experience on the impact of renewable fuel regulation on transport, while Comillas will offer its academic and innovative approach, integrating theory and practice to provide comprehensive training.

This alliance between Gasnam-Neutral Transport and Comillas seeks not only to train leaders in the sector, but also to actively contribute to reducing emissions and meeting sustainability goals in transport.
