October 23, 2026. As companies look for ways to address emissions beyond their own facilities, transportation has become an increasingly important part of the conversation. PTI, the market-facing brand of Paper Transport, LLC., is helping Graphic Packaging International, a global leader in sustainable consumer packaging, bring those ambitions into daily freight operations through a dedicated renewable natural gas (RNG)-powered fleet serving key routes between Chicago and Kalamazoo, in the United States.
The fleet of eight trucks, powered by Cummins X15N natural gas engines, moves paperboard and recovered fiber through Graphic Packaging’s supply chain while providing real-world insight into the performance of alternative fuels in day-to-day operations.
“Consistent with our Better, Every Day approach to continuous improvement, we’re focused on innovative, data-driven solutions that support operational excellence, strengthen customer supply chains and help inform our efforts to address Scope 3 emissions across our value chain,” said Domingo Amunategui, Vice President of Logistics at Graphic Packaging. “After a year of operating experience, this collaboration has provided meaningful insight into how alternative fuels can be incorporated into freight operations while maintaining the service and reliability our business and customers expect.”
The fleet is part of Graphic Packaging’s broader initiative to improve logistics efficiency while strengthening sustainable supply chains through carrier partnerships, alternative fuels, network optimization and smarter freight movement.
