Pernambuco launches incentive plan for the use of natural gas vehicles

State Government, through the Pernambuco Entrepreneurship Agency and the Companhia Pernambucana de Gás, launched a plan to encourage the use of natural gas for vehicles.

November 11, 2021. At a time of record fuel prices, the State Government, through the Pernambuco Entrepreneurship Agency (AGE) and the Companhia Pernambucana de Gás (Copergás), launched a plan to encourage the use of natural gas for vehicles (NGV).

The package includes a special credit line, the CredAGE Kit Gás, a R$ 100 voucher to refuel and a 5% discount on conversions. The measures aim to benefit taxi drivers and transportation applications, as well as self-employed professionals who use their vehicles for work. The launch took place at the Copergás headquarters in Brazil.

In the credit line CredAGE Kit Gás, operated by AGE, the amount of financing is up to R$ 8,000 per beneficiary, according to the credit analysis and the payment capacity of the interested party, with an interest rate of 0.99% per month for those who pay the installments on time and receive the bonus on time. The payment term is 24 months, more advantageous conditions than those offered by the market.

“This is another action of the Recovery Plan in which two companies controlled by the Government of Pernambuco launch a program aimed at improving the income of people who use the vehicle for their work. Our intention is precisely to minimize the impact of the constant readjustments in fuel prices on the pockets of these professionals”, said Márcio Stefanni, CEO of AGE.

The President of Copergás, André Campos, highlighted the importance of generating opportunities for the use of NGV by drivers who use their car as a source of income. “At this time of rising fuel prices, NGV is an option that everyone has to save costs and guarantee income,” he said. “Under the direction of Governor Paulo Câmara, we are working to contribute to the economic recovery of Pernambuco and its inhabitants,” André added.
