January 21, 2022. The President of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora, announced that in the present administration the conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) will include a new sequential injection technology, for which 11.000 fifth generation kits were acquired to increase vehicle performance.
For her part, the Executive General Director of the Executing Entity for the Conversion to Natural Gas for Vehicles (EEC-GNV), Karina Villacorta, reported, during the 2021 Final Public Rendering of Accounts of the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy, that in the 2021 management began the process of acquiring specialized goods through the comparison of proposals modality, whose successful bidder was the company Landi Renzo Spa with which a contract was signed for the acquisition of 11.000 sequential injection kits, which will be used the first management quarter 2022.
The authority reported that in 2021, 10.955 vehicle conversions were carried out nationwide, 33.456 cylinder requalifications and 31.442 equipment maintenance services.
She mentioned that 600 direct jobs were generated through the contracts signed with the cylinder conversion and requalification workshops, which through the acquisition of supplies and accessories also generate indirect jobs.
