100% of Grupo HAM’s stations in Spain now supply exclusively Bio-LNG and/or Bio-CNG

October 27, 2026. Grupo HAM has reached a new milestone in its sustainability strategy by completing the transition to biomethane across all its service stations in Spain. By May, all its stations were already supplying bio-based fuel, and as of September, 100% of the network supplies exclusively renewable biomethane—in the form of Bio-LNG and/or Bio-CNG—replacing fossil-based natural gas. This fulfills the commitment announced in late 2025 to complete this transformation before the end of 2026.

With this significant advancement, the company has met its stated objective and solidified its commitment to renewable fuels as a means to decarbonize professional transport. This transformation provides transport companies, logistics operators, and vehicle fleets with access to more sustainable energy solutions, while leveraging existing infrastructure and technologies.

The implementation of biomethane across Grupo HAM’s entire Spanish network enables two types of supply, tailored to the needs of different transport segments:

  • 43 service stations offering Bio-LNG (liquefied biomethane): primarily intended for long-haul heavy-duty transport, providing a renewable alternative for logistics companies and carriers that operate with LNG-powered vehicles.
  • 36 service stations offering Bio-CNG (compressed biomethane): specifically geared toward urban fleets, goods distribution, last-mile delivery, and short-haul transport, which utilize vehicles equipped with CNG technology.

Both types of supply can coexist at a single service station, allowing the company to cater to various vehicle types and operational requirements.

The distribution of these facilities across Spanish territory facilitates access to biomethane along logistics corridors, in industrial areas, and along strategic routes for professional transport, helping an increasing number of companies to incorporate renewable fuels into their daily operations.
