July 4, 2022. From May 18 to date, the Executing Entity for the Conversion to Natural Gas for Vehicles (EEC-GNV) of Bolivia registered 1,486 vehicles that changed their gasoline consumption for CNG, with sequential injection kits, according to the Director of the EEC-GNV, Karina Villacorta Murguía.

“For the conversion to CNG with sequential injection kits, the vehicles must be in acceptable technical conditions, because these kits copy the same strategies of running on gasoline. For this reason, it is important for owners to carry out prior maintenance on their vehicles, so that the transformation is quick and successful”, recommended Villacorta.

The department where the most operations were registered is in Santa Cruz with 576; followed by La Paz with 458, Cochabamba with 387, Oruro with 37 and Chuquisaca with 28.

The conversion of vehicles to CNG is a free benefit granted by the Government through the EEC-GNV, which consists of the provision of a cylinder, the sequential injection kit and also covers the cost of specialized labor for the installation of this equipment.

With the implementation of this technology, the EEC-GNV promotes the change of the energy matrix.
