Brescia Mobilità introduces 30 new CNG buses

The Italian city of Brescia presented 30 new methane buses -to which another 8 will be added shortly, and another 23 in January 2024 for a total of 61 vehicles- that will enter service very soon.

The Italian city of Brescia presented 30 new methane buses -to which another 8 will be added shortly, and another 23 in January 2024 for a total of 61 vehicles- that will enter service very soon and replace to the first models purchased by Brescia Trasporti, to rejuvenate the fleet and introduce more modern and efficient units.

Thanks to this latest purchase, the local transport company already has 189 buses powered by natural gas and the average age drops below 8 years, standing at around 7.26.

The company continues to look to the future and is planning new investments that will enable the introduction of new forms of zero emission energy, i.e. electricity and hydrogen, within the fleet.

Already this year, 2 electric buses will be incorporated for the disabled service, while for next year the introduction of 6 electric vehicles and 2 hydrogen units is planned. In 2026 the number of electrical buses will increase to 17, in 2027 to 32 and in 2030 it will reach 50.
