March 31, 2022. The State Government, through the Companhia de Gás do Amazonas (Cigás), delivered 18 new bonds worth R$ 4,000 each to the latest beneficiaries of the “Faça a Conta. Use GNV!”, during an event that took place at the headquarters of the natural gas distribution and commercialization concessionaire in Amazonas, Brazil. With the new winners, the campaign has already accumulated R$ 156,000 in incentives granted.

This edition of Cigás’ strategic initiative to promote the natural gas vehicle (NGV) market in the State is specifically aimed at taxi drivers, application drivers and fleet owners, groups of professionals highly affected by the economic instability due to Covid-19 and the successive rises in the prices of liquid fuels.

The representative of the Tempus company, which received three bonuses for a total value of R$ 12,000, Alex Xavier Lana, highlighted the savings already generated with the conversions made in the three vehicles. According to him, one of the firm’s decisions in terms of cost reduction was the transformation of cars and the result is being the best possible.

“Thank God we did that because then gasoline went up even more and the cost ended up being reduced by at least 40%.” For the entrepreneur, the vehicle conversion was very efficient. “Before we spent R$ 5,000 on gasoline and today we spend R$ 3,000 on natural gas”, he added.

During the incentive delivery event, the Cigás Technical-Commercial Director, Clovis Correia Júnior, thanked the drivers who received the R$ 4,000 bonus for their trust in the campaign and asked them to contribute by disseminating the initiative among their colleagues so that more people can benefit.
