DB Schenker receives its first CNG truck in Nancy

May 31, 2019. Put into circulation since Monday, May 27, this truck powered by natural gas will carry out courier routes in the southern outskirts of the agglomeration of Nancy, France.

Supplied by Fraikin, a company specializing in the long-term lease of commercial and industrial vehicles, this Iveco Eurocargo 210 horsepower was presented on May 24 in the presence of all interested parties.

For the agency DB Schenker in Epinal, which operates the vehicle, the start-up of this truck with natural gas is only a first step towards a wider adoption of vehicles with alternative engines. DB Schenker aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 30% by 2020 and by 50% by 2030.

It is also about responding to the evolution of regulations. As part of its ZFE (Low Emission Zone), Nancy and its agglomeration are preparing to limit access to the center of the city to the most polluting vehicles.
