The executive director of the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH), Gary Medrano, and the executive director of the Conversion Entity to Natural Gas Vehicles (EEC-GNV), Alejandra Huaylla, signed a strategic alliance for the sustainability of the energy matrix and safety of NGV use.
After the signing of this alliance, the head of the ANH explained that the agreement will allow greater computer integration between both entities, streamlining of procedures, and reduction of time in the conversion of vehicles and in the requalification of cylinders, so that every vehicle that circulates in the country with that fuel is a safe motorized.
The signing of the alliance with the EEC-GNV, an entity under the Ministry of Hydrocarbons, was carried out in parallel with the holding of the 1st International Forum of Gas, Petrochemicals and Green Fuels Bolivia 2018 that takes place in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, from August 28 to 31.
“We need to strengthen, so far we have done very well in the area of vehicle conversion. Our vehicle fleet is approximately 1.200.000 vehicles and we have converted almost 400.000 units. We are advancing on firm footing, when in 2005 there were 40.000 vehicles nothing more, now there are 400.000 natural gas vehicles,” said the authority.
The director of the ANH complemented that the computer system of Bolivian Self-identification Systems (B-SISA) integrates all the filling stations and provides information on the consumption of fuels and NGV.
