January 4, 2023. The SIGEIF Mobilités multi-energy station located in Réau (77) in the Greater Paris South conurbation, France, came into service. This is the completion of a project initiated by EPA Sénart and co-built with SIGEIF Mobilités and ENGIE Solutions, operator of the facility. This new outlet promotes the migration to more virtuous vehicle fleets for the actors in the supply chain located in the A5-Sénart park. Of 100% organic and renewable origin, the compressed natural gas (CNG) will come mainly from methanizers in the Ile-de-France region, especially Seine-et-Marnais.
EPA Sénart reserves 5,000 square meters at the entrance to the A5-Sénart car park to promote the installation of equipment that allows carriers to access a range of 100% organic sustainable fuels (LNG or CNG). In the future, the station will offer a complementary supply of liquid nitrogen dedicated to refrigerated trucks.
Integrated into the A5-Sénart park, 40% occupied by urbanized spaces, the establishment is at the service of the companies present on the premises. The use of LNG guarantees a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to diesel and 80% for Bio-NGV produced from organic waste. It will also allow the noise pollution generated by vehicles to be reduced by 50%, without the emission of fine particles.
The new facility will allow HGVs to benefit from permanent refueling and access to booming low emission zones in many cities and towns, thanks to its Crit’Air 1 environmental rating.
