September 9, 2026. FPT—an Iveco Group brand and global leader in diesel and gas engines for Latin America—received the award for its “Industrial Transformation for Natural Gas Engine Production” project. This initiative seeks to recognize major companies for their contributions to and commitment to sustainable industrial transformation.
“Latin America holds great potential to advance toward more sustainable industry and transport, leveraging its unique characteristics and energy resources. In this context, the launch of natural gas engine production in Argentina in 2025 marked a milestone for FPT and for our strategy to develop low-emission solutions in the region,” stated Bernardo Brandão, President of FPT for Latin America.
The awards ceremony took place during the 8th CEMAS 2026 Convention, attended by officials from the organizing institutions. Representing FPT was Juan Albano, FPT Argentina’s Launch Manager and leader of the Natural Gas Engine project in the country.
“This award means a great deal to us and is a source of pride for the entire team involved in the project. It involved years of work, spanning everything from planning and development to implementation. We carried it out using our own resources, commitment, and a great deal of creativity, as it was a novel project for the Córdoba plant and for the Argentine industry. Today, we operate the country’s first natural gas engine factory, and this recognition reflects the effort and dedication of everyone who made this achievement possible,” said Juan Albano.
