February 24, 2026. Iveco has donated two compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles to GARAC, the National School of Automotive and Mobility Professions, to support the training of future professionals in the sector: a 12-cubic-meter CNG Daily van equipped with a 140 hp CNG engine, Hi-Matic automatic transmission, and Air Pro suspension, as well as a CNG Eurocargo chassis cab equipped with a 200 hp Euro VI engine.
The official handover took place at the GARAC Campus in Argenteuil, in the presence of Andrea Alpignano, Managing Director of Iveco France, and Laurent Roux, Managing Director of GARAC.
This donation is part of a comprehensive initiative led by the Iveco Campus, which is actively developing collaborations with various institutions in France to support the transition to alternative technologies and low-carbon propulsion systems. In addition to the vehicles, Iveco provides GARAC with the essential tools for their maintenance, including access to diagnostic equipment and technical documentation.
“Supporting training is a fundamental responsibility for a manufacturer like Iveco. By donating these CNG vehicles to GARAC, we are directly contributing to the training of the professionals who will drive the energy transition in the sector,” explains Alpignano. “The Iveco Campus plays a crucial role in this dynamic, strengthening our ties with schools and training centers and promoting the dissemination of the skills needed for the mobility of the future.”
Based in Argenteuil, GARAC annually trains technicians, skilled tradespeople, and managers, who are in high demand by companies in the automotive, motorcycle, heavy vehicle, and emerging mobility sectors.
“We express our deep gratitude to Iveco for this support. The CNG vehicles and the technical tools provided will allow our trainees to learn about the technologies of the future and fully meet the expectations of the sector,” says Roux.
