September 25, 2022. The French Community of Annonay Rhône Agglo has officially received a fleet of 9 buses that run on natural gas supplied by Iveco.

Located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Annonay Rhône Agglo is converting its buses to natural gas. On September 1, the day of the new school year, a fleet of 9 Iveco Urbanway CNG vehicles was officially put into service. Now managed directly through an internal control room, these units have been assigned to the CoqueliGO network.

Equipped with the same level of comfort as conventional buses, they have air conditioning, video protection system, UFR space and USB ports. In total, they can accommodate a hundred passengers, including 22 seated.

For Annonay, Urbanway’s choice was obvious. Equipped with a 310-horsepower Cursor 9 gas engine from the FPT factory in Bourbon-Lancy, in Saône-et-Loire, the Iveco gas bus is assembled in a factory based in the Annonay territory. A site that employs almost 1,350 people and uses more than 250 French suppliers and subcontractors.
