March 30, 2021. Presented at the beginning of the year in Milan, the new generation of the Porter NP6 is available in a dual-fuel gasoline-compressed natural gas (CNG) version.
At a time when Low Emission Zones are developing rapidly, Italian manufacturer Piaggio is boosting its offering in the field of natural gas. Unveiled at the beginning of the year, the new version of the Piaggio Porter NP6 is characterized by its compact dimensions.
Powered by a new Euro +D-compliant 1,498 cc Combifuel engine, the Piaggio utility offers dual fuel operation and is capable of producing up to 106 horsepower and 118 Nm of torque. The model is available in two variants:
• Short range for mainly urban use and tank of 40 or 55 liters
• Long range for a more versatile use with a double tank configuration (50, 70 or 110 liters) that allows more autonomy with a full tank. The payload is, on the other hand, slightly lower.
Available in a fixed platform, tipping box or chassis to accommodate many adaptations, the NP6 CNG is offered in four wheelbases, from 2,650 to 3,250 mm. In terms of payload, the manufacturer announces between 815 and 1,500 kilos depending on the version chosen.
