December 23, 2021. With the aim of encouraging the use of natural gas vehicles (NGV) in local public and private transport, the Energy Agency of the State of Puebla, Mexico, and 30 businessmen from the sector signed the NGV Association Agreement.

This collaboration seeks to promote investment in natural gas projects by 2024, which facilitate accessibility and increase the number of units converted by 200%. Carrying out these initiatives helps to save up to 50% of fuel compared to traditional energy, without affecting the functioning and operation of the vehicles.

Given that natural gas is a more environmentally friendly fuel, the alliance also seeks to reduce the carbon dioxide (CO2) footprint in the metropolitan area. The change to this alternative reduces greenhouse gas emissions, in particular 30% of CO2, 90% of carbon monoxide and manages to completely eliminate suspended particles without producing sulfur oxide.

Another benefit of NGV is the safety and ease represented by its use as a fuel, since it is lighter than air and, in the event of a leak, it will disperse more safely than conventional fuels.
