Quavii connects second NGV station in Trujillo

NGV generates fewer polluting emissions and contributes to improving air quality in the city.

June 17, 2025. Trujillo drivers now have access to a new natural gas vehicle (NGV) station, which will allow them to continue enjoying the benefits of this energy alternative, which is up to 60% more economical than other traditional fuels. NGV generates fewer polluting emissions and contributes to improving air quality in the city.

“With this new station in Trujillo, we continue to advance in our commitment to facilitate access to cleaner, safer, and more affordable energy for all Peruvians. The widespread use of natural gas vehicles is key to more sustainable and efficient mobility in the country,” said Miguel Maal, General Manager of Promigas Peru.

The opening of this station is part of Promigas Perú and Quavii’s energy expansion plan, which includes the opening of eight new stations in 2025. They have already opened three so far this year, including the Gaspetrol II station in Trujillo, and five more will be added in the coming months. These new stations are added to the five already operating, bringing the total to thirteen by the end of 2025.

The new station, located at the Gaspetrol II Station on Av. Perú 318, joins an existing station operated by the same company in Trujillo, allowing for greater service coverage and strengthening the natural gas supply infrastructure in the area.

With this new station, NGV users in Trujillo now have greater coverage and ease of supplying this safe, economical, and efficient fuel. Added to this is the support of 22 authorized conversion and maintenance workshops that guarantee reliable operation for the more than 19,000 light vehicles and 1,400 cargo vehicles already using natural gas in the north of the country.

Access to NGV is also supported by the FISE program, which finances up to 50% of the cost of converting vehicles to gas interest-free and also offers a bonus of up to S/ 2,000.00 on the price of the vehicle conversion service, further facilitating the switch to this energy alternative.
